Yacht-Z is a five-dice rolling game: roll up to three times a turn, hold the dice you like, and score them in one of thirteen boxes.
- Goal: score the most points by filling all 13 boxes on your scorecard. You and your opponent take turns — 13 turns each.
- Your turn: tap ROLL to throw all five dice. Tap any dice you want to keep (they light up HELD), then roll the rest again. You get up to 3 rolls a turn.
- Scoring: after any roll, tap a box in your column to see what it's worth, then tap SCORE (or tap the box again). Every turn must fill exactly one box — if nothing fits, you have to take a 0 somewhere.
- Top section: Ones through Sixes score the total of just that number (three 4s in Fours = 12). Get 63 or more across the top six boxes for a +35 bonus — that's three of each number.
- Bottom section: 3 of a Kind and 4 of a Kind score all five dice added up. Full House (three of one number plus a pair) = 25. Small Straight (four in a row) = 30. Large Straight (five in a row) = 40. Chance = all five dice added up, anything goes.
- Yacht-Z is all five dice the same = 50. Every extra Yacht-Z after that earns a +100 bonus — as long as your first one scored 50, not 0.
- Joker rule: an extra Yacht-Z must go in its matching top box (five 3s → Threes) if that's still open. If it's filled, use any bottom box — Full House and the Straights count at full value. If those are full too, you take a 0 in a top box.
- Modes: New Game against Jax as opponent with difficulty Easy, Normal or Hard. Pass & Play is two players sharing one device. Play a Friend Online: one of you hosts and reads out the 4-letter code, the other joins with it. If the connection drops, the game picks up where it left off.
- Keyboard: Space rolls, 1–5 hold dice, Enter scores the selected box, Esc clears it.
About Yacht-Z
It's the classic family dice game, with the official bonus and joker rules built in, so nobody has to remember them or argue over the scorecard. Every box tells you what it's worth before you commit, which makes it a sneaky bit of adding practice for younger players and a real game of odds for grown-ups. Best for ages 7 and up.
Ways to play
- Against Jax — on Easy, Normal or Hard.
- Pass & Play — two players share one device and hand it over each turn.
- Online with a friend — one player hosts and reads out a 4-letter code, the other joins from their own device. A dropped connection catches back up on its own.
Play on any device
Yacht-Z runs right in your browser on iPhone and Android phones, iPads and tablets,
Chromebooks and computers — nothing to download, no sign-up and no ads. Add it to your
home screen and it even plays offline (playing a friend online still needs a connection).
